Fun with a Cookie Sheet

In a room full of Christmas toys, what do the boys decide to play with? Their old toy cars, packing cardboard, and a cookie sheet. I'm actually happy to see them use their imaginations and their reasoning skills! If the cookie sheet ramp is propped up too low, the jump is too boring. If you add too much cardboard and make the incline too high, the pull-back cars won't make it over. When you race the cars down the ramp, the heavier ones go further...and all of them go further when you move the whole setup off the carpet and onto a smooth surface!

Wow--who knew a cheapo cookie sheet could be such a useful learning tool?
